The story of SealteQ begins in June 1973 in Stadskanaal. Frans Nooren, a driven visionary, started as a pest controller and soon focused on impregnating wood and masonry. This innovative approach would forever change the construction world. The introduction of epoxy mortar for combating concrete decay highlighted the unique character of the company and made it clear that SealteQ was not an ordinary player in the sector.

The Breakthrough in the Market

Under the motto “Your problem is our problem,” Frans Nooren built a strong reputation in impregnating and injecting materials. With the program ‘Brandpunt in de Markt,’ SealteQ gained national recognition. A notable project involved injecting steel sheet piles with special resins by divers, resulting in rapid company growth. The next major step came with the introduction of liquid-tight paving at hundreds of gas stations, an innovation that again had a significant impact on the market.

A New Era: Innovation and Growth

In 1986, a new era began for SealteQ when Martin van der Leest joined the team. Together with Frans Nooren, he launched the next major innovation in the market: Stopaq, a revolutionary solution that kept underground spaces moisture-free. This technology became a global game-changer.

In 2003, Martin van der Leest took over and under his leadership, the company further expanded. The collaboration with Robert Lunenborg, who became a shareholder in 2008, led to a focus on steel technology. This partnership resulted in nationwide coverage with seven locations spread across the Netherlands. The combination of concrete and steel technology also led to the establishment of MultiPaint.
