It is a patented, lightweight solution that reinforces masonry both before and after construction, with a short turnaround time and an attractive price. The solution more than meets the current standard for earthquake-resistant new construction (NPR) and has been scientifically validated by Delft University of Technology and Eindhoven University of Technology.

Unique System

QuakeShield’s unique system works as follows: first, grooves are milled into the wall to accommodate carbon strips—which are eight times stronger than steel—and these grooves are filled with a specially developed tough, elastic adhesive. Next, a carbon reinforcement mesh is applied to one side. Finally, this is finished with a cementitious or polymer reinforcement layer. Because the carbon reinforcement is applied to the wall from one side, this innovative system reinforces both sides of the masonry.

What is the difference between QuakeShield and foundation repair?

QuakeShield reinforces the masonry of walls. Foundation repair addresses damage to the foundation itself. Both can be part of the same repair process, depending on where the damage is located.
