Commercial floors

Commercial floors

At SealteQ, we provide the right floor (finish) for your company. Often, company floors must meet specific requirements. For example, they must be able to withstand the weight of heavy machinery, or they must not allow liquid to pass through. But in addition to these functional requirements, you can also contact us for a decorative floor finish. Our specialists listen to your question, assess the surface and advise you on the possibilities.

Industrial Flooring

We offer high-quality, custom-made industrial floors. We seek a suitable solution for every type of surface. We also ensure that the floor is resistant to mechanical or chemical influences. However, a decorative floor finish is also among the possibilities.

Our industrial floors include:

  • heavy mechanical load capacity;
  • chemical resistance;
  • liquid-tightness;
  • anti-slip properties;
  • seamlessness.

We provide solutions ranging from high mechanical load-bearing slurry systems for heavy industrial floors to simple water-based epoxy systems. Antistatic systems, tough-elastic crack-bridging cast floors, and systems highly resistant to chemicals or temperature are also in safe hands with SealteQ.

Liquid-Tight Flooring

SealteQ is the application specialist in liquid-tight flooring for facilities such as gas stations and washing areas. We work with renowned suppliers. Our staff regularly receives additional training in proper application techniques and new developments. This enables us to always provide customized advice and guarantee our quality.

In 2000, regulations regarding the liquid-tightness of floors or facilities were tightened. Facilities for motor vehicles, storage and transport companies, (auto) spray painting businesses, printing companies, and gas stations, for example, previously required a PBV declaration. On October 1, 2008, the mandatory PBV declaration for liquid-tight floors was discontinued. At the request of the business community, the Ministry of VROM decided that the inspection report itself would suffice going forward.

SealteQ is closely involved in this development. We are a partner for designing and implementing liquid-tight chemical containment basins, concrete hardening, certified installation of element hardening, and on-site cast hardening constructions of concrete and concrete repairs. Moreover, our experience with synthetic flooring application is also valuable in this context.

Antistatic Flooring

Anti-static floors are an essential element in environments where sensitive electronics, such as computers, microchips and medical equipment, are used. These floors are designed to prevent the build-up and discharge of static electricity, which can lead to damage to electronic components and even to dangerous situations such as fire or explosions in environments with flammable substances.

The concept behind anti-static floors is based on the principle of electrostatic dissipation. This means that the floor contains materials that reduce the accumulation of static electricity and conduct it to the ground, where it is safely discharged. Typical materials used in anti-static floors include conductive polymers, rubber and special coatings that form a conductive layer on the surface of the floor.

Anti-static floors offer several advantages, including:

  • Protection of electronic equipment
  • Personnel safety
  • Protection against fire and explosions
  • ESD compliance

There are several types of anti-static floor systems available. The choice of the right type of floor depends on factors such as the specific application, the environment in which the floor is installed and the level of protection required.

Synthetic Flooring

Synthetic flooring, also known as PVC flooring, is a versatile and popular choice for both residential and commercial spaces. Made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and other synthetic materials, these floors offer a wide range of benefits and applications.

  • Durability: They are resistant to scratches, dents, and stains, making them ideal for high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and commercial spaces.
  • Water-resistant: This makes them suitable for use in humid environments such as bathrooms and basements.
  • Suitable for virtually any interior design: Synthetic floors are available in a wide range of colors, patterns, and textures.
  • Easy to maintain: They typically only require regular vacuuming and occasional mopping to keep them clean and fresh.
  • Allergy-friendly: They don’t trap dust or allergens like carpets can.

Finally, synthetic floors are generally a cost-effective option compared to other flooring materials such as hardwood or ceramic tiles. They offer good value for money and can be a long-term investment in the beauty and functionality of your business.

9000 m² cast floor laid for HANOS Maastricht

The specialists from SealteQ South have worked on the floor finishing of the newest HANOS branch in Maastricht. Commissioned by HANOS, no less than 9,000 m² of Arturo EP2500 poured flooring was applied. This durable and low-maintenance floor contributes to a safe and functional working environment in the ultra-modern wholesale store, which covers a total area of nearly 40,000 m².

New plastic floor finish for Royal Smilde Foods

At SealteQ, we deliver the right floor finish for every business. The same goes for Royal Smilde Foods in Heerenveen, where our specialists applied a seamless resin floor finish on the production platform where margarine is produced. It was a challenging project, as we had to complete the work within a few days during a planned major maintenance shutdown.

Complex opplus project in Rotterdam

After extensive research and thorough preparation, SealteQ West commenced a complex project in Rotterdam in March of this year, commissioned by HEF Wonen.

Metalufloor design cast floor for Sanidirect in Heerhugowaard

A metallic floor finish is still uncommon. In Sanidirect’s new showroom in Heerhugowaard, we applied this relatively new, high-quality floor finish. Our experts from SealteQ Heerenveen installed the Metalufloor decorative resin floor.

Bouncing forklifts on steel-fiber concrete floors are a thing of the past

Who among owners or users of large warehouses is unfamiliar with the problems associated with steel fiber concrete floors? Cracks in floors, unevenness, and floor sections that lift and dish. Forklifts bounce across the floor, which is detrimental to both the driver's back and the tires. Damage to goods also occurs regularly. With our self-developed innovative repair method, these issues are a thing of the past. This innovation originated from our West branch and our extensive experience in industry and infrastructure. This method enables us to quickly perform repairs on steel fiber concrete floors with minimal disruption (e.g., dust).

Applying non-skid coating to steel floor at Paramelt

At Paramelt B.V. in Heerhugowaard, SealteQ Ivacon was tasked with treating the existing steel industrial floor by applying an anti-slip coating. Due to frequent use of the industrial floor, it had become less slip-resistant. For safety reasons, the floor was made more slip-resistant. SealteQ has a solution for applying anti-slip coatings to every type of substrate.

The Cultuurgebouw in Hoofddorp refitted with a new non-skid floor coating

A floor that has become slippery through frequent use and shows signs of wear deserves to shine again. For safety purposes, the floor must also be made sufficiently non-slip again. This can be achieved with an anti-slip floor coating. SealteQ Ivacon has carried out the floor restoration on behalf of the Cultural Building. With a new anti-slip floor coating, the floors are once again safe and well-protected for the coming years. The Cultural Building is a special complex where various facilities come together in one building. Due to the high footfall, a good, safe floor is a requirement.

New floor finish around fountain UMCG

Around the fountain, located in the central hall of the University Medical Center Groningen, there had been a colored strizo floor for years. The floor finish, which has since been replaced, had lost its color long ago. SealteQ replaced the floor finish with a multi-layer colored epoxy system.
