SealteQ Ivacon renovates residential area and installs energy-saving measures

The project was divided into 4 phases and executed on behalf of Koopmans Bouw BV from Enschede. The entire district required renovation, and energy-saving measures had to be implemented for all residences. Various elements needed insulation, which included raising and insulating the balconies. In collaboration with Koopmans’ contractors, a detailed schedule was developed to determine when specific balconies and galleries could be addressed. Throughout the project, a standard team of two employees was deployed, which could be expanded to two teams during favorable weather conditions. The efficient execution quickly led to a streamlined schedule. All parties involved had clear visibility of their tasks and timelines, enabling them to complete the project seamlessly and collaboratively.

The work carried out by SealteQ consisted of:

• Concrete repairs to the balconies, galleries, stairs, and concrete curbs.
• Applying a waterproof and crack-bridging Triflex BFS system to balconies without a residence underneath.
• Insulating balconies with residences underneath using the Triflex BIS system, followed by the application of the Triflex BFS system.
• Applying a Triflex BFS system to all galleries and stairs.
• Broadcasting colored granucol onto the Triflex system, in black and grey.
• Providing stairwell entrances in various ground-floor apartment complexes with a new floor finish.

Phases 1 and 2 were completed two and approximately one year ago, respectively. SealteQ is currently working on the final galleries and single-family housing blocks within phases 3 and 4. The work is expected to be completed in the upcoming spring.
