Structural Reinforcement of Balconies
As a specialist and pioneer in sustainable life-extending maintenance, we increasingly find that reinforcing concrete structures using carbon fiber reinforcement has many advantages over traditional reinforcement measures. Due to the combination of very high strength and low self-weight, the system can be easily installed to ensure the strengthening of the concrete structure. This makes carbon fiber laminates a very suitable application for residential and commercial buildings, among others.

Twenty-four balconies of the VvE building on Couperusstraat were disapproved by an external party according to renovation and rejection standards. These twenty-four balconies of the VvE building have been structurally reinforced using carbon fiber reinforcement in accordance with the BRL3201 certificate. As a result, the load-bearing capacity of the balconies has significantly increased, and their lifespan has been considerably extended compared to traditional reinforcement methods.
Concrete and Steel Preservation
The works in Phase 2 consist of concrete and steel preservation of the VvE building. The activities began with the removal of the steel plating. After removal, the steel plating was sanded in a ventilated container and provided with a new coating system. Subsequently, the ceiling was inspected for damage. Afterward, the localized damages were tapped, ground, and chiseled out. Then, the entire ceiling was cleaned, and the concrete damages were repaired. Finally, the entire ceiling was provided with a new coating system. For the preservation of the entire rear side, including the railing, thick edges, and roof edge, a rolling scaffold was used.
