Graduate or intern? Andrea, Arne and Daphne do just that at SealteQ in corona time

Looking for a place for your graduate program? Or do you need to do an internship? At SealteQ you are welcome, even during the corona crisis. For example, Andrea and Arne are doing their graduate research with us until February. Daphne is doing an internship and will even stay with us until spring 2021.

Graduating or interning just a little differently

Graduation or internship can be done safely at SealteQ. Like other companies, we adhere to applicable safety measures. We work from home whenever possible. SealteQ’s workplaces and office spaces are large enough to maintain sufficient distance.

Daphne Alting, for example, strengthens our secretariat and is in the office as many as four days a week because of her internship. She is studying Management Assistant at the Noorderpoort Groningen. ”I can’t do this alone and at home, because it is internship work with supervision.” Her internship supervisors do work partly from home. They are not there every day. But the contact is very good, also between them. Despite that, communication is not more difficult. In her workplace everything is well organized, she thinks. ,,The desks are large enough: we can work at 1.5 meters from each other. You can disinfect your hands and there are mouth caps with the SealteQ logo. You can really see that the company has put time and effort into the safety of colleagues.”

Even before the coronavirus broke out, our company was set up for working from home and working remotely. Because our offices are spread all over the country, for example. And corona has made us much better at that. ”Even in corona time, there is good and clear communication and the lines are short,” says Arne Knol, who at the time of writing is doing his graduation research in our financial department for his Finance & Control course at Windesheim University in Zwolle. ”SealteQ does everything possible to ensure that communication remains good. I can always call and schedule meetings digitally.”

Why graduate or intern at SealteQ?

We think it is important that there are enough places for talent to develop. At SealteQ you will always receive careful guidance from one of our colleagues. We are not just there for you day and night. Especially in corona time, regular contact to check in with each other is important.

Arne, for example, is writing an improvement and implementation plan for our financial department. Always wanting to be just one step better is in our DNA.

So Andrea Dijkhuis is doing her graduate research for our HR department, at our Stadskanaal location, partly in the office and partly at home. She is in the final year of the course in Resource Management at the Hanze University Groningen. Andrea is investigating the development and assessment of employees and how we can organize that even better as a company.

Moreover, there are plenty of projects at SealteQ on which people can graduate or intern. Long-term projects, where truly dedicated can be worked on. Large enough that, as in the case of Andrea and Arne, it can produce a thorough investigation.
