On April 17, a delegation of the VNO-NCW visited the SealteQ Group branch in Stadskanaal. The delegation was led by Mr. Bernard Wientjes. At 1:15 p.m. they were received by Martin van der Leest and Robert Lunenborg at the recently newly completed headquarters at the Tinnegieter in Stadskanaal.
Mr. Wientjes was accompanied by Mr. Bert van der Haar, the chairman of VNO-NCW Noord, Mr. Lambert Zwiers, managing director and Mr. Jan-Willem Lobeek who is senior manager.
In addition, the delegation was joined by PR & Communications Manager Lex Kloosterman and the region coordinator, Ms. Karin Kuiper.
During a meeting in the Boardroom of the SealteQ Group, the delegation was addressed by Martin van der Leest. He informed the delegation by means of a presentation about the diversity of the SealteQ Group and clarified this on the basis of various realized project examples. It also became clear that the SealteQ Group is broadly engaged in innovation. In addition to citing high-profile new developments, extensive attention was paid to the collective Quake Resistant Construction, in which the SealteQ Group, in addition to contractor Van Wijnen and infrastructure specialist Oosterhof Holman, plays an important directing role.
There followed an explanation of the activities this collective undertakes in the, earthquake-affected, northeastern part of the province of Groningen. The solutions put forward show that thought is being given to the problem and the resulting consequence for the region. It is a fine example of involvement in the events in the area and it also shows that the business community also takes social responsibility in this development that is so important for northeast Groningen.
The visit concluded around 3 p.m. after which the delegation left for the general membership meeting at the Nooitgedacht Estate.
Mr. Wientjes was full of praise for the proactive manner in which the northern business community and in particular the SealteQ Group is acting regarding current developments.
Martin van der Leest was very honored that this delegation had set aside the necessary time to learn about entrepreneurship in general. The appreciation of opportunities, a clear vision of the future and the self-reliance that characterize quality entrepreneurship were demonstrated during the delegation’s visit.
