External conditions such as weather and salt deposits seriously damage steel structures in viaducts, bridges and gallery floors, among other things, due to corrosion of the reinforcing steel.
Galvanic protection
Galvanic protection is one of the methods SealteQ uses to combat this corrosion. This technique, which falls under cathodic protection, uses sacrificial anodes. These anodes have a lower potential than the steel and therefore corrode instead of the structure.
