There are two possible techniques for shotcrete: dry and wet spraying techniques.
Dry Spraying Technique
In the dry spraying technique, a dry mix of cement and aggregate (stones) is sent under high pressure through a hose to the spray gun. Water is added in the spray gun.
This shotcrete technique is very effective in situations with special needs. Consider the thickness of the concrete layer or work performed overhead. We frequently apply this technique particularly in tunnel construction and infrastructure works.
Wet Spraying Technique
In the wet spraying technique, water is pre-mixed with cement and aggregate. The mixture is then pumped under high pressure to the spray gun. This method offers good control over the water-cement ratio, resulting in optimal concrete strength. Wet shotcrete is ideal for structural components, decorative projects, and detailed finishes.
