SealteQ looks back on an extraordinary 2020

What a year 2020 was. Who could have seen that coming? Despite all the circumstances, we are appropriately proud of the projects SealteQ Group did last year. In doing so, safety for our professionals came first. A small selection of what we consider the best moments of 2020.

All in the Game – MKB!dee

SealteQ, as one of the proud winner of MKB!dee , a grant to recruit, train and connect technical colleagues to our company using innovative means. Last year we worked with our innovation team (with members from all branches) on a number of innovative ideas. We developed these into business cases, which we will deploy in our company in the future. To be continued!

Conservation of locks on the IJsselmeer

As part of the Large Maintenance Bridges and Locks (GOBS) project, we carried out maintenance and conservation work at a number of locks last year. Some examples are the Urkersluis, Friese Sluis, Marknessersluis and Ketelsluis locks. A wonderful, large assignment where we again demonstrated our craftsmanship.

Repair work on influent buffer tank

A unique moment for SealteQ Heerenveen last year. The product SealteQ used to waterproof the floor of the buffer tank was used for the first time in the Netherlands. And successfully!

Ömer Türkmen completes doctoral research on QuakeShield

Together with Royal Oosterhof Holman, SealteQ Group forms a joint venture: QuakeShield , with which we developed a lightweight solution for earthquake-resistant structures. Last year, Ömer Türkmen received his doctorate on this. A highlight for our company. The results of the research will be used to further develop QuackeShield.

Concrete renovation floor parking garage De Meent

SealteQ West’s gem this year, the concrete renovation in this Rotterdam parking garage. This project is the largest in SealteQ West’s history to date and for that reason alone it is special. Not only because of its size, but also because of the different techniques we applied to renovate concrete and that the assignment was successfully completed. Truly a project to be proud of.

Visor slide project completion

From 2017 to last year, SealteQ worked on conserving the sight slides of the Lower Rhine and Lek dam ensemble. Three complexes with no less than six enormous sight slides. Our colleagues in Bergum blasted and conserved the sight slides in the blast cabinet. The sight slide of Amerongen, which was installed in Hagestein, was conserved on site in a tub specially designed for this purpose.

Curious how we can further assist you with your project?
