SealteQ Group participates in MCB Preservations in Bergharen
Stadskanaal/Bergharen, Sept. 15, 2015 – SealteQ Group in Stadskanaal has acquired a 50% participation in the Bergharen-based company MCB Conserveringen. With this, SealteQ realizes national coverage for its activities.
MCB Conserveringen B.V.
MCB Conserveringen B.V. is an expert in the field of the most diverse forms of surface techniques for steel constructions, by which steel is optimally protected against corrosion and/or high temperature loads as a result of fire. These preservation activities are carried out from the establishment in Bergharen, Gelderland. MCB has blasting and preservation halls with a total surface area of 6300 m2 . SealteQ is precisely specialized in on-site conservation work.
Managing Director Martin van der Leest is therefore very pleased with the acquisition: “It is an important strategic acquisition. Our activities fit together seamlessly. Moreover, through MCB we can roll out our SealteQ activities in that part of the country, such as the protection and preservation of civil, structural and industrial installations.” SealteQ has now achieved national coverage for its activities. The company has further offices in Amsterdam, Pijnacker, Heerenveen, Bergum and Schoonebeek. The head office is located in Stadskanaal.
Joining forces
Managing director Heidy Moors of MCB Preservations is also pleased that SealteQ and her company have found each other. “Joining SealteQ means that we significantly strengthen our foundation and expand our activities. It offers excellent prospects for the continuity and further strengthening of our company. We have already done many cooperation projects and therefore know what we can gain from each other.” Heidy Moors will continue to manage the company.
The acquisition has no personnel implications. SealteQ Group employs about 220 people; MCB employs more than twenty. SealteQ has made several acquisitions in recent years to strengthen its position nationally. Last year it acquired Ivacon in Amsterdam, a specialist in the preservation and protection of concrete structures.
