On behalf of HB Capital, the floors of halls 4 and 5 of a distribution center are being fitted with a heavy-duty industrial poured flooring system from BASF.
SealteQ West applies 17,000m2 floor coating in warehouse
Due to an extensive reorganization and rearrangement of the various halls of the DC in Mijdrecht, the floors of halls 4 and 5 require drastic intervention. This substantial renovation is necessary due to damage to the substrate and dust formation caused by the existing asphalt floors.
The total floor area is approximately 17,000 m² and will be completely treated in 4 phases, with two floors per phase over a period of 6 weeks.
The main activities consist of:
- Removing and disposing of all impact protection barriers.
- Cleaning and shot blasting of the asphalt substrate.
- Repairing damages in the substrate.
- Applying a primer/screed layer.
- Applying a polyurethane poured layer.
After curing of this system, the floors are equipped with a wear-resistant and easily cleanable polyurethane poured layer. This allows the new user to make optimal use of the warehouse.
