At SealteQ MCB in Bergharen, we are currently working on preserving two tanks. This is necessary to protect them against corrosion. These tanks are used to store production water. The tanks are 8800 millimeters long and have a diameter of 2500 millimeters. They are receiving a new coating system to ensure protection for years to come.
We began by cleaning the tanks. We did this to ensure the surface was thoroughly clean before sanding. After sanding, we blasted the tanks and applied the first coating layer (epoxy primer). Following approval from our quality inspector, we applied the final layer (polyurethane topcoat). The photos show one tank with the final layer already applied and the other without it. Once both tanks are completed, we will also preserve a platform and a cage ladder for our client – Vermilion Energy.
Did you know that our specialists not only work in our preservation halls but throughout the Netherlands? Because in addition to steel preservation in our blasting and spraying cabins, we also offer mobile blasting and preservation solutions. This enables us to blast and preserve steel at any desired location.
