New Wearing Course Boskampsbrug in Havelte

New Wearing Course Boskampsbrug in Havelte

SealteQ recently provided the Boskampsbrug in Havelte with a new, durable wearing course. The work was carried out to make the bridge future-proof and keep it safe for intensive use. This renewal ensures that the bridge deck meets the highest standards in terms of durability, wear resistance and safety, so that road users can continue to count on a reliable and safe passage in the years to come.

The work involved removing the existing wearing course and blasting the bridge deck. Any unevenness was leveled out to ensure a smooth finish. A heavy-duty cast floor was then applied as a wearing course, which was immediately covered with crushed stone. After hardening, the excess crushed stone was removed.

The system used is mechanically heavy-duty, non-slip, weather-resistant, and de-icing salt-resistant, which contributes to the bridge’s long service life.
