With summer approaching, SealteQ has several assignments regarding the maintenance of swimming pools. Last month, SealteQ already carried out maintenance at Zwembad De Delte in Gorredijk, and last month SealteQ provided the recreational pool and paddling pool of Zwembad De Leewal with a new coating system. The maintenance work consists of renewing a number of loose parts, cleaning the paddling pool and coating the recreational pool.

Maintenance work
The repair work started with dismantling grates, signs, stairs and lamps. After this, the detected concrete damage was repaired. Subsequently, the detected cracking in the swimming pool floor was locally injected with a two-component injection resin
,
under the name of structural bonding. The joints of the swimming pool have also been replaced. After the repair work was completed, SealteQ started cleaning the swimming pools by means of high-pressure water jets. High-pressure water jetting is done with a pressure of 180 bar and a water temperature of 80 °C. After this, the walls and floors of the pools, which are provided with a two-component coating, were sanded. This is important for good adhesion. After the walls and floors of the swimming pools have been sanded, they are thoroughly cleaned and made dust-free.
New Swimming Pool Coating
After the detected damage has been repaired, the pools have been cleaned, sanded and cleaned, SealteQ started coating the paddling pool of 78 m². The coating system consists of a one-layer coating system for the floor and a two-layer coating system on the walls. After this, the recreational pool of 795 m², consisting of walls and floor, was coated. The pool is equipped with a three-layer anti-slip coating system. A two-layer coating system has been applied to the walls, just as with the paddling pool. After the application of the new coating system, both the recreational pool and the paddling pool of Zwembad De Leewal are protected again for years.
