The existing coating on these floors and landings showed signs of wear. Without proper protective coating, weather conditions can damage the concrete structure. In some areas, initial concrete damage was already visible. To prevent further damage, we applied a new coating system to the floors and landings.
First, we removed the existing coating and repaired irregularities in the substrate. Then we applied a primer layer for optimal adhesion. Subsequently, we applied the self-leveling floor and created a drainage channel to reduce water retention on the walking surface. Finally, we applied a colored top coat with sufficient anti-slip properties.
We also paid special attention to the railing balusters cast into the concrete structure. These were experiencing water infiltration. To prevent this from recurring in the future, we seamlessly incorporated them into the coating system using reinforcement fabric.
