SealteQ possesses the expertise to apply protective and/or decorative coatings to new and existing floors, entirely in accordance with specified requirements. The flooring system utilized is an epoxy system. Epoxy systems can be applied in multiple rolled layers or as a self-leveling floor. An epoxy floor is commonly applied to a stable substrate that is subject to high mechanical and chemical loads.
The initial work for the new flooring system involved degreasing the 735 m² floor. Subsequently, the cleaned substrate was dust-free sanded using diamond grinding machines. This step is essential for roughening the existing substrate and removing any loose particles or other irregularities. Following this, the pre-treated substrate received a primer layer.
After approximately 6 hours, the primed substrate received a self-leveling floor application at 0.2 kilograms per square meter. Approximately 6 hours after the self-leveling floor was applied, a topcoat of 1 kilogram per square meter was added. The coated substrate was walkable again 6 hours later. Approximately 24 hours after coating, the floor was fully load-bearing.
Heating Elements
Additionally, work was performed on four heating elements of the ground-source system. First, the surface of the heating elements was dust-free sanded. Subsequently, three layers of coating were applied, comprising a primer, an intermediate, and a topcoat. This new coating system is expected to significantly extend the lifespan of the heating elements.
