A metallic floor finish is still uncommon. In Sanidirect’s new showroom in Heerhugowaard, we applied this relatively new, high-quality floor finish. Our experts from SealteQ Heerenveen installed the Metalufloor decorative resin floor.

Metalufloor: metallic floor finish
The metallic pigment paste in the resin floor creates a shimmering effect. As a result, floors take on a special effect after treatment, delivering a unique appearance. Because such resin floors are still quite uncommon, we documented the process in a video. This allows you to see exactly how installing such a floor works.

Collaboration with Remmers: Metalufloor Installed
We installed the metallic floor in collaboration with Remmers, a specialist in the production of industrial coatings, among other products. Remmers and SealteQ have been working together for years on floor finishes. We understand one another and complement each other well.
In Heerhugowaard, they provided Sanidirect with advice and support in their flooring choice. In the search for a partner to carry out the floor finish, our specialists from Heerenveen—thanks to Ron van Dalsen of Maronda Advies—came into contact with Remmers. Our colleagues were, of course, eager to take on such a challenge.
Our Approach
The old floor in the Heerhugowaard building was worn. To convert the former multicultural centre (MFC) into a showroom, a new floor finish was needed. We first prepared the floor for application—in other words, we ensured the new floor could be installed under optimal conditions. Among other tasks, we carried out the necessary minor repairs. This enables us to achieve the longest possible service life.
We then treated the floor with an epoxy resin for poured floors. We did this on multiple floor levels. We added the special metallic pigment paste to the epoxy resin. Colours – in this case Venato – stand out better thanks to this addition. We used Remmers Metalufloor epoxy resin.
