Major maintenance at Erasmus Square complex nears completion

A project for which SealteQ West started conducting inspections, research, and engineering as early as 2017 is nearing completion in the autumn of 2020. In good harmony with Weijman Vastgoedonderhoud, hard work has been done to make the complex sustainable and future-proof for the client Haag Wonen.

In addition to the extensive amount of concrete damage repaired by SealteQ, many specialized techniques have been applied in this project. For instance, due to the presence of de-icing salts on the emergency staircases, galvanic cathodic protection has been applied in addition to the concrete repair. Furthermore, all concrete work has been preserved after the concrete repairs were carried out, the rainwater drains have been replaced, and the balcony floors and emergency staircases have been provided with a durable anti-slip floor coating.

The most notable part of the project is that a completely integrated upgrade system has been installed on the galleries of 2 flat sections. These particularly sustainable and cleverly detailed raised floors have reduced all thresholds from the galleries into the apartments to a maximum of 2 cm. The floors have also been functionally widened, and the apartment complex is even better aligned with the needs of its residents. As a result, sustainability and life-cycle adaptability go hand in hand.

Curious how we can further assist you with your project?
