Ground stabilization through injection techniques for Combination Herepoort

Ground stabilization through injection techniques for Combination Herepoort

Over the weekend of 24, 25 and 26 February, Combinatie Herepoort carried out maintenance works on the longitudinal joint of a section of the temporary ring road. As part of these works, the underlying foundation and reinforced soil structure were stabilised using injection techniques.

Our specialists from SealteQ SLS started the preparatory works at 1:00 AM on Friday night. They carried out the stabilisation works using SLS lift 430 expanding resin. The use of injection techniques ensures a stable subsoil. We then lifted the existing pavement structure. Weather conditions were favourable and the works progressed smoothly, allowing us to complete our work during the night from Saturday to Sunday. This enabled Combinatie Heerepoort to carry out the joint repair and the asphalt works on Sunday so the road was ready for Monday’s traffic.
