During the maintenance process, our team is meticulously working on renewing both the coating of the pink and green buildings, in the original colors chosen by the architect, as well as the complete treatment of the aluminum panels. These panels are thoroughly sanded and then fully finished with a new layer of aluminum topcoat, similar to automotive paint.
To execute this process with precision, the pavilion is completely encased in scaffolding and shrink wrap. This not only ensures a safe working environment but also provides optimal conditions for maintaining the museum’s original splendor and structural integrity.
While the facade maintenance progresses, the Groninger Museum continues to be a source of inspiration and wonder for visitors from around the world. The renovation reflects the ongoing pursuit of excellence and attention to detail. This project adds a new chapter to the rich history of the Groninger Museum, preserving its heritage while securing its future.
