Surface Preparation of the Concrete Theater Platform
Work on the concrete theater platform began with manual surface preparation using a diamond grinder with dust extraction. This is the first step in the preparation of the concrete theater platform. Such preparation ensures thorough cleanliness and provides a surface with adequate adhesion.
Floor Finish
After the pre-treatment, a two-component epoxy primer was applied. The epoxy primer (500 grams per m²) was broadcast with kiln-dried quartz sand (5 kilograms per m²). After sufficient drying of the primer, the excess quartz sand was removed. Next, a resin-modified sand-cement screed was manually laid to slope. Laying to slope means the floor has a slight incline. At the center, the thickness is 5 cm, and the slope is approximately 1 cm per linear meter of floor. This ensures that water does not remain on the platform. Finally, an additional layer of Portland cement modified with synthetic resin was applied to harden the top layer and improve its wear resistance.
