Concrete repair on the A1 viaduct in Ugchelen

Concrete repair on the A1 viaduct in Ugchelen

SealteQ carried out concrete repairs on the viaduct under the A1 motorway in Ugchelen to restore its structural quality and service life. Wear and tear, weather influences, and minor damage had affected the concrete in some places, making maintenance necessary.

The damaged concrete was removed and both the underside of the viaduct and the pillars were prepared for repair. We then applied a high-quality repair mortar, restoring the structure to top condition.

By repairing concrete in a timely manner, we ensure that everything remains safe and strong. It extends the life of the structure and prevents small problems from turning into large, expensive repairs later on. The viaduct and piles in Ugchelen will thus remain reliable and sturdy for years to come.

Injection Tests for a Leak-Free Aqueduct in Friesland

Together with Rijkswaterstaat, we are working on a solution for the leaking aqueduct near Akkrum. Four holes in the water-retaining foil of the Leppa aqueduct's trough structure cause approximately 3,300 litres of groundwater to leak daily into the submerged section. Two of these holes are located up to 10 metres below ground level. As this depth is difficult to access, special test setups and targeted injections are being used to investigate how the aqueduct can be made fully watertight and safe again.
