Balm carried out concrete repair work at a great height (120 m) on the cooling tower in Geertruidenberg. Due to the thin concrete cover, the concrete on the surface was damaged, which weakened the structure and could pose safety risks.
Balm carried out concrete repair work at a great height (120 m) on the cooling tower in Geertruidenberg. Due to the thin concrete cover, the concrete on the surface was damaged, which weakened the structure and could pose safety risks.
The concrete repair project was carried out in two phases so that the work at great heights could be carried out in a clear and safe manner. This phased approach allowed Balm to carefully plan and execute the complex work, with constant attention to structural strength and service life.
The restoration was carried out with precision and craftsmanship to fully reinforce and sustainably protect the tower, with special attention to the challenges of working at height.
The result: a robust, future-proof cooling tower in which safety and sustainability are guaranteed.
The Hofgarage and the Werfgarage, two car parks on the outskirts of the Kattenburg district in Amsterdam, date from 1975. Given their age and the need for modernisation, Balm carried out an extensive refurbishment of both buildings, addressing the structural, architectural and technical aspects of both the interior and exterior.
