Basement sealing at Princessehof Ceramics Museum

Basement sealing at Princessehof Ceramics Museum

One of the great things about our work is the variety of locations we get to visit. For example, we are currently working in the beautiful building of the Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics, right in the historic city center of Leeuwarden.

This museum dates back to 1917 and is housed in a series of interconnected national heritage monuments. Our colleagues are working in the museum’s basement/storage area, which is experiencing moisture ingress through the walls. To resolve this issue, we are applying waterproofing layers to over 165 m² of basement wall. The first step is removing the existing coating by abrasive blasting. Our specialists then apply multiple waterproofing layers to achieve an optimal result. Thanks to these layers, the museum’s basement walls are watertight again and the space can be put back into use. A great project in a unique setting.

Curious how we can further assist you with your project?
