The work began with pre-treatment of the steel mezzanine floor. The process started by grinding the floor with minimal dust generation. Subsequently, a bonding primer was applied and fully saturated with fire-dried sand. A grain size of 0.1 – 0.5 mm was used. 2 kg of aggregate was used per m2. A grain size of 0.1 – 0.5 mm is easily maintainable. Consideration was given in advance to ensure that the aggregate used for slip resistance would not create obstacles during cleaning operations. After curing, excess sand was removed using specialized equipment by sweeping and vacuuming. Following the cleaning operations, a roller coat of BASF Mastertop BC 372 was applied. The consumption was 0.5 kg per m2. The roller coat was given a dust grey color (RAL 7037).
Completion
During the execution of work on the steel mezzanine floor, no special incidents occurred. Good preparation generally results in few setbacks during execution. The project was completed to the satisfaction of Paramelt B.V.
