Gas is one of the most important sources of energy in northwestern Europe. To transport gas safely, periodic maintenance is needed to ensure the quality of the natural gas transport network. SealteQ has been active for some time with steel conservation at locations in the eastern part of the Netherlands. Through this way we are proud to announce that this cooperation will be extended with the maintenance contract for Western Netherlands. This means that for the next five years SealteQ will perform all overhead maintenance work for the entire country.
European tender won
The contract was awarded to SealteQ by Gasunie after a European tender procedure. A European tender procedure means that any interested company has the right to tender within a minimum, predetermined time frame. Through the European tender procedure, SealteQ was selected and contracted by Gasunie for steel conservation in the Western Netherlands for the period 2019 to 2023.
Still, with the expertise in the field of steel conservation and the long-standing cooperation between SealteQ and Gasunie, such a tender process always remains a challenge. With only a few bidders who dared the challenge, SealteQ was judged the best choice, based on the evaluation criteria. The evaluation criteria important to the Gasunie included: experience, quality, price and plan of action. In these, SealteQ had the right combination of all aspects.
Quality, national insight and speed
With the new contract, Gasunie has a single point of contact for the entire country. Both Gasunie and SealteQ are convinced that the appointment of SealteQ as a unique partner has benefits for both parties. One of these is the digitization of support processes for the entire country. As a result, Gasunie has “real-time” insight into what stage maintenance on the natural gas network is at.
SealteQ is confident of a pleasant cooperation with Gasunie.
