Bring a Friend: from your colleagues you have to have it

That SealteQ is facing scarcity in the labor market is no secret. We even won the SME!dee in 2019 to address that challenge. Finding and retaining good employees requires creative, innovative solutions. And we do that in more ways than one. With our Bring a Friend action, for example.

What is Bring a Friend?

From your colleagues you must have it! SealteQ employs the best specialists. They know very well who can strengthen our company. We like to call on them. Because who can determine very well whether someone is suitable for our projects, can learn the trade and fits the culture of our company? Indeed, our own specialists!

”We realize that our own people – all colleagues combined – have a large network,” said our Director of Operations Gerthé Klaassens. ”They probably reach more and more targeted candidates than the best, slickest recruitment campaign. The real picture of the work, the beautiful projects, the concrete tasks and growth opportunities every colleague can help tell.”

Moreover, a Bring a Friend candidate has already achieved a first selection step, she explains. ,,Our colleagues take their responsibility for the‘friend‘ they bring in very seriously and very consciously filter who they do and do not want as a colleague. And once inside, the new colleague immediately has an (extra) supporter within the company. In short, we see mainly advantages of this route. It is a great compliment to the company when colleagues are willing to help look for new employees within their network.

Bring a Friend bonus

Credit where credit is due, we think. Does the proposed candidate stay with us for at least four full weeks and successfully complete the induction program? Then the colleague who introduced the candidate will receive a one-time Bring a Friend bonus of 300 euros net. If the candidate is still employed by SealteQ after 26 weeks and (possibly) in training to become a specialist, we will double the bonus by another 300 euros. Because our specialists do not work for SealteQ; they are SealteQ.

Also working at SealteQ?

We are always looking for new colleagues for all of our seven branches. Anyone new to our company follows an induction program via our staff app. In it you learn more about the profession and about our company. Every day new colleagues receive a message with a new assignment, questionnaire or video to get acquainted with everything that is important on the shop floor. Then the content follows and new colleagues learn about implementation. How to coat a floor, for example. After that, anyone who wants to and can become a professional specialist learns that internally with us.
