Treatment rising damp in Den Helder

Recently, our specialists from SealteQ Ivacon (Amsterdam) treated rising damp in a property in Den Helder.

Rising damp occurs when ground moisture is directly absorbed by the wall and drawn upwards. As a result, the walls become damp, leading to damage (e.g., moisture and mold problems) to the property. This issue is particularly common in older homes.

Our specialists injected the masonry walls inside the property to combat rising damp. This was done using a silicic acid emulsion. The old plasterwork was removed up to a height of 1 meter above the floor, and multiple layers of mineral sealing mortar were applied. Afterward, we replastered the treated walls, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
