The floor at Trivium had sunk in various places and there was extensive damage to the subfloor, loose coating, and wear, which hindered the functionality of the production area. SealteQ took on the challenge and carried out an extensive renovation to make the floor fully usable again for Trivium.
The renovation process began with the removal of the old, loose coating. The floor was then dust-free blasted. Subsequently, the floor was carefully masked off in areas around the machines to prevent any unintended damage during further work.
To restore the floor and create a solid foundation, the bare spots were impregnated with a high-quality two-component epoxy primer (QP). This primer ensures that the floor is well-prepared for the subsequent layer and that the new coatings can adhere optimally. The unevenness in the floor was precisely leveled out with a two-component epoxy screed layer, which restored a uniform and sturdy structure to the floor, and then finished with a 2-component epoxy self-leveling floor of EP 2500.
Afterwards, the entire floor, including walkways and zebra crossings, was given a new coating of EP 3900. This new layer not only enhances the functionality of the floor but also contributes to the safety and aesthetics of the production area. The sleek finish ensures that the floor can withstand the harsh conditions in the production workshop.
Thanks to the careful approach and the use of the right materials, SealteQ has renovated Trivium’s floor and prepared it for long-term use. This project is an excellent example of SealteQ’s expertise in carrying out large industrial renovations. With this renovation, Trivium’s floor can last for many more years, keeping the production environment in excellent condition, which contributes to the continuity and efficiency of business operations.
