SealteQ Heerenveen has successfully renovated the sports complex of the Foarut football club in Menaam, where the synthetic resin floor in the canteen, entrance, toilet area, and changing rooms was refurbished. The floor showed signs of wear, cracks, and loose parts, making it necessary to upgrade the existing floor.

The renovation began with the careful removal of the loose floor parts. Subsequently, the entire floor was sanded and made dust-free to ensure optimal adhesion of the new layers. The damaged areas and cracks were then filled and leveled with an epoxy scratch coat, which gave the floor an even and solid surface again.
After preparing the floor, a new two-component polyurethane cast floor (PU 2600) was applied. This floor is not only strong and durable but also offers a long lifespan, even with intensive use. To further ensure safety and functionality, the floor was finished with a clear PU topcoat containing an anti-slip layer, making the floor both easy to maintain and safe for users.
In the changing rooms, an extra step was taken by sawing expansion joints and carefully sealing them. This prevents damage from expansion of the floor and ensures that the floor can adapt well to changes in temperature and humidity.
Thanks to this renovation, the floor has been fully restored and is ready for daily use again. The result is a functional and aesthetically attractive floor that not only improves the appearance of the sports complex but also contributes to a safe and sustainable working environment for the users.
