For this project, SealteQ carried out several different tasks. To begin with, as we always do in similar projects, we inspected the concrete for cracks and loose parts caused by reinforcement corrosion. Subsequently, the damaged slabs were cleaned down to the concrete. Rust on the exposed reinforcement was removed and the concrete was repaired. Since SealteQ also encountered steel components during the balcony inspection, our steel conservation experts re-treated these. Proper steel conservation prevents corrosion by sealing the steel from moisture and oxygen. In addition to the renovation work on the concrete, the balcony floors, upstands, and skirting boards were treated with the Triflex BAS system. This type of liquid plastic is extremely suitable for coating balcony floors. The system is quite thin and follows the substrate. It is durable, wear-resistant, and low-maintenance.
