On Thursday, April 17 and Tuesday, April 22, 2025, the completion of two fully restored houses at Brugstraat 15 and 15A took place in Daarlerveen. Both houses had sustained significant damage due to subsidence caused by uneven settlement in the foundation. A technically challenging project, where SealteQ SLS specialists once again demonstrated our strengths.

A stable solution
To prevent further subsidence and restore living comfort, a thorough approach was required. At house number 15, the rear extension was first demolished. Here we installed a new foundation slab on piles. The foundation repair of both houses was executed using a table construction (a reliable solution that ensures long-term stability). After removing the ground floor slabs, we leveled the subgrade and provided a 10-centimeter thick concrete working floor. This was necessary to stably position the drilling rig for the vibration-free installation of screw mortar piles, executed by Euro Funderingen.
A challenge was reaching all required parts of the houses. To properly position the drilling rig everywhere, a temporary opening was made in the party wall. This allowed us to treat the entire surface area efficiently and safely.
Subsequently, the foundation beams were provided with recesses and reinforcement was installed. The sewerage and utility services of both houses were also replaced. The final concrete floor, with a thickness of no less than 300 millimeters, was installed on the screw mortar piles, followed by insulation material, underfloor heating and a cement screed floor.
After the technical work, we could begin the finishing work. The kitchens were reinstalled and both the toilets and bathrooms were completely renewed. Both houses were also provided with sleek new plasterwork and ceilings.
During the project, the front garden was used as construction site facilities. After completion, we fully restored it in consultation with the residents. The paving around both houses was also raised and repaved, circular and neatly finished. The result: two sleek driveways and satisfied residents.
With great pride, we delivered this semi-detached house to the residents and to the Province of Overijssel. After months of planning, collaboration and attention to detail, there are now two future-proof houses, solidly founded and ready for the future.
